Day Six: Silverton, Colorado

Today's ride is amazing!  We start the ride along a river that snakes through the rocky mountains.  It is one of the most peaceful rides on the entire trip.  Part of the road is called, The Million Dollar Highway.  It's named that because it cost a million dollars a mile to build the road, and that was a long time ago.  We definitely felt like we were on a rollar coaster!

At the bottom of The Million Dollar Highway is a little town called Silverton, Colorado.  It is an old silver mining town and it has been preserved to make you feel like your walking through history.  From, Silverton we took the train into Durango.  The train is a nice break from the bus, and the views are outstanding.
