Day 12-13: 320 Guest Ranch, Big Sky Montana

Finally, the day we have all been waiting for!  Today is the day of the 6th annual, Ranch ball Tournament!  The teams were randomly selected previously, so that uniforms and strategies could be created.  Every team geared up for this epic event.  It is safe to say this was one of the most creative groups we've had!

But before I get too far ahead of myself, let me tell you about our first morning in Big Sky Montana. We awoke refreshed, taking in the mountain air and loaded the bus to head to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center.  This was a first for the Grand Western Tour, we had not been here in previous years, but it was really cool!  We were able to walk around and see live animals and watch them as though they were in their natural habitat.  The center was hiding food for the bears when we first arrived, so we got to watch them come out and hunt for food.  After they ate, you will see pictures of them playing with each other.  It was really neat.  The wolves were a little less active, but the bears made up for it.

We headed back to the ranch in time for everyone to get on their uniforms before lunch.  What an interesting lunch it was!  The men and women serving us lunch are always interested to see what interesting costumes they will come up with!

The tournament consists of 2 brackets, orange and green.  The orange bracket contained four teams of seven and the green bracket contained 4 teams of six.  Each bracket was double elimination until the finals.  The green bracket winner was the Electric Eels.  The Orange bracket winner was the Crack-0-Jacks.  After 12 games of volleyball, the champion of the 2013 Ranchball Tournament were the Crack-0-Jacks.

That night, we had our group picture made and a cookout down by the river.  After such a hard day of volleyball, everyone dug in!

The second day to the ranch we participated in our ranch activities.  There were two activities, horse back riding and hiking, and everyone got to participate in each.  Another full day on the ranch made for an exaushted group!
